But when the news hit the internet lots of really big Star Wars fans weren't happy, and they started campaigns to stop the band being in the film.
That seemed to have worked when band member Joey Fantone told a US radio show that director George Lucas had taken them out of the film - because of the bad reaction from fans.
Now the mystery seems to have been solved.
Apparently a spokeswoman for Lucasfilm, who make the Star Wars films, has said that they could still make the final cut, but only if Lucas decides to use the shot they are in.
Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones is released in both the US and the UK on 16 May 2002.
