More than a million older people are trapped in their own homes, unable to see family and friends because they can't walk or get on a bus without help.
£500,000 goal
So BP's working with charity Help The Aged to buy scooters, minibuses and specially-adapted cars.
The goal is to raise £500,000 and you can do your bit by having a Bring and Buy sale at home, school, your church hall or leisure centre.
Some of the money raised will also pay for things like T'ai Chi and gardening clubs to help older people get the most out of life.
