The early part of the decade saw great expansion for Newsround, adding a major website produced by News Online, and seven new bulletins on the CBBC digital channel.
The only setback was the axing of Newsround 24 from BBC News 24 - a weeky Sunday teatime round-up of items taken from Newsround.
