The first series only lasted for six weeks, and appeared twice a week (on Tuesday and Wednesday).
But it was such a success that it came back on 19 September for six months (this time on Tuesday and Thursday).
John immediately broke with convention by sitting on the desk rather than behind it. However, the no-tie and jumpers look didn't come in till later.
