England fans braced for big match
Updated 21 June 2004, 09.53
England fan
England fans are counting down the seconds to their team's crunch Euro 2004 match against Croatia on Monday.

The game, kicking off at 7.45pm, will decide whether England progress to the quarter-finals of the competition. They need to get a draw to book their place.

England coach Sven Goran Eriksson says the Croatian team are no pushovers.

"They are full of confidence and on counter-attacks they are extremely dangerous. We will have to play very good football to go through," he said.

England will be without Owen Hargreaves for the Group B clash. He has a stomach upset and has not eaten for 48 hours.

Star striker Wayne Rooney will be in the team, despite concerns that Croatia will try to test his temper.

Best behaviour

The teenager has already picked up a yellow card and will need to be on his best behaviour.
