A late goal from Smicer gave the Czech Rep a stunning 3-2 win over Holland and a place in the quarter-finals.
The Dutch took the lead in only the third minute of the match through a header from Bouma.
Another goal from Van Nistelrooy put them in a commanding position before Koller pulled one back for the Czechs.
Deep into the second half Baros grabbed the equaliser but it wasn't until the 88th minute that Smicer scored which brought a dramatic win to the Czechs.
Dutch fans will be wondering how their team lost, there were shortage of chances for them to score throughout the match.
An unlucky strike from Davids saw the ball hit the post and a Van Nistelrooy header was saved by Cech's legs.
And it didn't help that the Dutch team were reduced to 10 men when in the 75th minute Heitinga was sent-off for a second yellow card.
In the second game in the group Latvia held Germany to scoreless draw.
This result means that Germany will now struggle to qualify from Group D.
