  Second night of Portugal clashes
Updated 16 June 2004, 07.58
Police patrol the streets
Around 20 England supporters have been arrested in a second night of clashes in the Portuguese town of Albufeira.

Riot police and officers on horseback and with dogs took to the streets after a crowd of 200 people started throwing bottles, glasses, tables and chairs.

Albufeira - a resort popular with UK holidaymakers - is the base for many England fans who have travelled to Portugal for the Euro 2004 finals.

On Monday, 11 England fans were arrested in similar clashes.

"Officers needed to go in with horses and dogs to defuse the situation," said a police spokesman.

"It is now under control and we are cleaning up the street."
