Arsenal midfielder Patrick Vieira is leading his club's drive to get racism out of the beautiful game.
The Gunners have set up events as part of Kick Racism Out Of Football week inviting kids to their ground for question and answer sessions.
Vieira spoke to CBBC Newsround about racism in the game. "It's difficult to deal with. You're trying to do your job and you get abused."
Sol Campbell and Man United's Rio Ferdinand have backed the campaign too.
Arsenal captain Vieira said he had faced abuse. "You're only a human being and you want to react and show you're not happy, you have to control yourself," he said.
Just not right
Kids at the Highbury session felt strongly about racism.
Ryan,11, was very clear on the subject: "It's just not right," he said.
Victoria, 11, explained: "Once when we were playing football one of my friends got called names because she's black and it got me angry."
And Arsenal fan Aime, 15, added: "Really good players get really nasty comments at them and I don't think it's nice."
