  Manchester United scoop FA Cup
Updated 22 May 2004, 17.40
Man Utd's Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates
Ruud van Nistelrooy scored twice at the Millennium Stadium to take Manchester United past a valiant Millwall to victory in the FA Cup Final.

The first half had been well balanced, with Lions keeper Andy Marshall denying Roy Keane, until Cristiano Ronaldo started the scoring for the reds.

Minutes after half time, Van Nistelrooy doubled United's lead from the penalty spot after a foul on Ryan Giggs.

Nistelrooy then made it three, tapping home Giggs' cross for the title.

Both Roy Keane and Dennis Wise overcame their injury problems to make the match.

But it was Ronaldo who was the player of the final.

His trickery and striking runs hurt Millwall time and again, with full-back Robbie Ryan bearing the brunt his skills.
