Liverpool and England striker Emile Heskey has signed to Birmingham for a £3.5m fee, which could rise to £6.25m.
Heskey, who was named in England's Euro 2004 squad on Monday, has agreed a five year contract at the club.
Birmingham boss Steve Bruce said: "This is an absolutely fantastic signing for the club - I am really excited."
Heskey joined Liverpool in 2000 from Leicester for a record £11m, and he scored 60 goals in 277 appearances for the Merseyside team.
