  Olympic parade details announced
Updated 29 September 2004, 20.09
Kelly Holmes
Details of the British Olympic team's victory parade set to take place in London in October have been revealed.

A hundred medal winners including double gold winner Kelly Holmes and stars from the Paralympics team will join the procession on 18 October.

The event will start in Piccadilly at 1.30pm, taking the Olympians down Haymarket into Pall Mall East, ending at Trafalgar Square at about 3.15pm.

Huge screens in Trafalgar Square will show the parade, plus Games highlights.

Simon Clegg, chief executive of the British Olympic Association, said: "Our reception since we returned from Athens has been outstanding.

"We are delighted the Mayor of London has afforded both the Olympic and Paralympic teams the opportunity to celebrate our successes through the streets of London."
