Updated 26 November 2003, 18.30
Jonny Wilkinson and coach Clive Woodward with the cup
England's rugby heroes will tour central London in a victory parade on Monday 8 December.

Thousands of fans are expected to fill the streets to see England's winning team take a turn around the capital.

The victory parade will see the boys parade the Webb Ellis Cup, setting off at midday from Marble Arch.

The Sweet Chariot tour will cruise down Oxford Street, then Regent Street and Haymarket before arriving at Trafalgar Square at 1pm.

Players and manager Clive Woodward will then meet the Queen at Buckingham Palace followed by the Prime Minister at Downing Street.

Roads in the area will be closed to allow fans to line the route.

On Tuesday 6,000 fans turned up to greet the team at Heathrow airport when their flight touched down at 4.30am.

The squad looked surprised that so many had got out of bed early to celebrate their return.
