The England captain has become almost as famous for promoting certain products as for his footballing skills.

Now he's ended his contract with the company which got him the deals, which made him a reported £10 million a year.

Becks released a statement saying that he will be "focusing entirely on football" due to the upcoming Euro 2004 finals and his new job at Real Madrid.

He will continue to work with his current sponsors, and will take part in Real Madrid promotional campaigns.

Among other products, Becks has advertised cars, mobile phones, soft drinks and sunglasses.

Some people have criticised him for taking part in the ads, claiming they have distracted him from his footballing career.

But it seems nothing will get in the way of Becks leading England in Portugal next year.
