Anna Kournikova told off for wrong shorts
Updated 23 June 2002, 18.41
Anna Kournikova in action
The Wimbledon tennis tournament starts on Monday and already some of the stars are getting their tennis knickers in a twist.

Tennis beauty Anna Kournikova was made to take her shorts off during her practice session on Sunday.

Calm down boys, it's because they weren't the correct colour for the strict club - the All England Club - which hosts the biggest tennis tournament of the year.

The club say all players in Wimbledon must wear all-white gear.

But naughty Anna was wearing black! So she had to borrow another pair from her coach.

Anna is ranked 54 in the world and plays against fellow Russian Tatiana Panova in her first round match of the tournament.

Agassi to start

Greg Rusedski

But it's former champ Andre Agassi who starts Wimbledon off on Centre Court at 1pm against Israel's Harel Levy.

And with last year's champ Goran Ivanisevic not taking part because of injury, the competition is pretty open.

The women's competition will start with Jennifer Capriati against Janette Husarova of Slovakia on Court One.

Also in action will be Britain's number two Greg Rusedski who takes on Austrian qualifier Jurgen Melzer.
