The cash will also go towards promoting sport in the community and improving outdoor adventure equipment for young people.
'Healthy lifestyle'
Prime Minister Tony Blair thinks every young person deserves the chance to participate in sport and PE of the highest quality:
"Sport is also a key weapon in our fight against school exclusion, crime and drugs, giving thousands of young people the chance to choose a positive healthy lifestyle," he said.
Schools in Northern Ireland and Scotland will find out how much money they'll get from the fund early next year.
