  Michael Jordan's Wizard comeback

Michael Jordan directs the play
Legendary basketball player Michael Jordan has played his first comeback game for his new team, Washington Wizards.

Jordan was only on court for 17 minutes of the friendly against the Detroit Pistons, which the Pistons won 95-85.

Jordan is one of the best players ever to play basketball and won six NBA titles while playing for the Chicago Bulls.

Jordan retired three years ago, but has returned to try and bring success to the Wizards, which he co-owns.

He also gave his name to Nike Air Jordan trainers, a deal which netted him millions of pounds in sponsorship.

Excited about appearance

38-year-old Jordan had not originally intended to play in the game.

But he changed his mind because so many fans bought tickets for the match, hoping to see his first appearance in his famous number 23 vest.
