The first private manned spaceship is set to take off for an historic first flight to the edge of space.
SpaceShipOne is going through the final checks before it is taken into the sky by its carrier, White Knight. It will then shoot 100km above the earth.
In a test flight in May, it reached 64 km, doubling its last best. This will be the first time a craft not built by a government will go so high.
It was built by flying expert Burt Rutan, and will take off at 1.30pm.
