A US company is planning on handing over the world's first cloned pet cats with five owners waiting for them.
They've all handed over $50,000 to get a brand new version of a furry friend from company Genetic Savings & Clone.
The first kittens are due for delivery in November 2004, and three staff members are also having cats cloned.
The clones won't be exactly the same as the animals they are based on, with personalities and even some markings different from the originals.
