US baby shares name with software
Updated 03 February 2004, 12.05
Wonder what version they're using?
Imagine if your name included a computer software term. Well, that's what little Jon Blake Cusack 2.0 of Michigan has got to look forward to!

The babe's dad - a self-confessed engineering "geek" - has tagged version 2.0 on the end of his son's name.

It makes little Jon look like a software upgrade of his dad.

"There's a lot of new features from Version 1.0 (Jon's dad) with additional features from his mum," said the baby's birth announcement.

And you thought Brooklyn had an unusual name?

Mr Cusack thought the tradition of adding "junior" or "II" to a child who shares his parent's name was "too common".

But it seems he had a hard time persuading Jon's mum to go for the upgrade.

Mrs Cusack didn't give in to her hubby until the week before her son was born.

Meanwhile, Mr Cusack has already suggested that if little Jon has a son, he could name it 3.0!
