The US is expected to announce next week that it hopes to send the first ever manned mission to Mars.
President George Bush will reveal the aim in a speech, as well as plans to send people to the moon again, and even put a permanent space base there.
But it won't happen soon, with a manned Mars mission at least 10 years away.
Experts expected an exciting space mission to be revealed soon, as Mr Bush begins his campaign to be re-elected as US president in November 2004.
