Scientists studying satellite images from space say most of the area's warmed up over the last 10 years.
The increasing temperature means more ice melts - the ice cap's been shrinking by 10% a year for the past 25 years.
Experts are worried the changes could affect the arctic environment and also parts of the ocean much further away.
A huge ice-shelf which has been in the same place for 3,000 years has broken up.
It affects animals in the region which use the sea ice as a platform to hunt.
Scientists say we should be very worried and do something now instead of waiting any longer.
