  Stop bullies texting your mobile
Updated 01 October 2003, 13.21
A new system can help stop text bullying
If you're worried about being sent bullying text messages, a new service could help you by blocking them.

If you let The Intelligent SMS Centre know the phone number where the bullying call comes from, they'll let your mobile phone company know.

They can then block any more messages from that number from getting through.

The centre may even be able to block spammers from sending their messages to your phone in the future too.

A children's charity reckons more than a quarter of all kids between 11 and 19 have been sent threatening texts.

One of the men behind the scheme, Nils Granath, says most mobile companies will be using the system soon.

Later the system may be updated to let parents get a copy of all the texts their children send too.
