Head teacher Steve Gater said: "By texting parents, we are sending a powerful signal to them and their children that absence is not to be tolerated."
Kids are also being kept safe by the system, as it allows parents to know if a child goes missing straight away.
The government recently said that about 50,000 children a day are skipping school.
It's hoped that schemes like this, which have been successfully tested in Wales and Ireland, can get kids off the streets and into classrooms.
