The plesiosaur dates back to the beginning of an ancient time called the Cretaceous period - 130 million years ago.
The creature was found by a man called Nigel Armstrong. He stumbled across the bones sticking out of a cliff face south of Filey.
Just like Nessie
The skeleton shows this particular one was four metres long and would've looked very much like the legendary Nessie.
Sea dragons would have been fairly common in the area when seas were warmer and deeper.
It'll go on display in Scarborough late next year.
