  Left-handers get special day
Updated 13 August 2002, 15.01

Are you left-handed? And if so, are you more creative than your right-handed mates?

Many people think lefties are more arty and a project being launched on Tuesday to mark International Left-handers Day will be looking at just that.

Fact File
Famous lefties
ex-Beatle Paul McCartney
Runner Paula Radcliffe
Actor Tom Cruise
Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie
Artist Michelangelo
India's cricket captain Sourav Ganguly

Events are being held throughout the world to draw attention to the needs of people who are left-handed.

At one event in Leicester Square in London there's even a "lefty zone" where right-handers are forced to use only their left hand to perform everyday tasks.
