The food company Isleham Fresh Produce, says the violet vegetable is not unnatural.
Back in the 18th century all carrots used to be purple or white, but then Dutch farmers decided to plant orange crops - their national colour.
Dutch scientists say purple carrots give extra protection against some forms of cancer and heart disease.
Isleham predicts the purple carrots will be a huge hit and plans to develop a "rainbow bunch" of purple, white and black carrots over the next year.
