People who use the internet are not geeks.
At least that's what a new survey tells us. It also says they don't meet their only friends online either.
For a long time surfers have suffered jokes about spending all their time online in a dark room and having no real mates other than the ones they meet in cyberspace.
More sociable
But The University of Warwick's done a study and says if you're a surfer you're actually more likely to be sociable than non-surfers.
What's even better is that you're also likely to be better educated and eventually earn more money.
OK, the study was done on adults but we bet some of you have been teased about spending too much time on the net.
Now's the time to get your own back and tell us what you think.
Or do you think it is unhealthy to surf when you could be doing something else?
