The graphics are fantastic, the sound brilliant and they are really thrilling to play, especially Halo, which is the best game I've ever played.
The big difference between the two machines is the hard disc drive inside the Xbox, which means games can be more complex and more realistic.
What's real?
Microsoft, the maker of Xbox, says it will be the first console to have games that look like films and TV, where you can be the hero and save the world.
But it isn't in the shops in Britain until March next year and will cost £299. If you can't wait, Playstation 2 is still worth buying.
But the Xbox promises to be the must-have games console for 2002.
