/9 Campaigners for global education wanted everyone to know that lots of kids around the world don't get a proper education.
/9 So they organised for hundreds of Members of Parliament to visit schools on one day. We went along to Joseph Lancaster school to see what happened.
/9 Who's the new boy? It's local MP Simon Hughes, look at his squeaky clean newby satchel
/9 The pupils put on a special assembly, saying why they thought education was important.
/9 Then it was Simon's turn. He had to talk to the whole school, he was a pretty good speaker so everyone listened. He explained that getting a good education could improve people's lives.
/9 Then it was break time. These guys let Simon join their gang for the day, so he wasn't a Billy no mates.
/9 Do MPs play hopscotch? I'm not saying.
/9 Everyone got in on the act as a photographer took pictures for a local paper.
/9 This is Shakila. Check out her Press Pack to see what she thought of the day.
