/9 This is a typical photo of the Antarctic on a good day...
/9 ... and this is what Antarctic looks like on a bad day!
/9 This is the base that Lizzie and the crew were filming on. It's on an island called Adelaide Island
/9 Another shot of the bay from the base. This building you can see here is the sewage treatment plant, so when you go to the toilet at Rothera the waste is treated with chemicals so it doesn't pollute the environment.
/9 This is the Bonner laboratory where the scientists at Rothera do all their experiments
/9 Here's Lizzie with loads of icebergs in the background. They blow in and out all the time as they're not fixed. They also get smaller depending on the weather
/9 Here's Lizzie with an Adelie penguin - and a Weddell seal. There are around 5 million penguins on the continent.
/9 There are loads of seals on Antarctica and they're really stinky!
