Children of Iraq
/12 These girls live in an orphanage in Baghdad with about 70 other kids
/12 Luckily the orphanage wasn't damaged. But it's very close to Saddam's palaces which were heavily bombed
/12 But the orphanage didn't have a bomb shelter so during air raids the girls had to huddle together in the hallways
/12 US troops sit in tanks close to the orphanage
/12 Some Iraqi kids play with the US troops
/12 Lots of Iraqi kids told Laura they had been scared of Saddam Hussein and felt safe with tanks close by
/12 Five or six tanks also surrounded the hotel where Laura and the Newsround team stayed
/12 This is because lots of people from the US and the UK stay there and there had been threats made to harm the building
/12 Newsround also went to see this school in central Baghdad
/12 Although during the bombing children didn't go to school, these boys have been back in class for about two months now
/12 Karam, 13, says he loves footie and says Beckham is his hero
/12 Fadi, 13, told Laura he wanted to study hard and become a doctor when he's older
