Working kids in Ghana
1/9 This is 11-year-old Francis from Ghana, and he has to work on a lake to earn money
2/9 He goes out on the lake and casts the nets, then later pull the nets up again to catch the fish
3/9 1.5 million children in Ghana work. They do it because their families are too poor to support them.
4/9 The government in Ghana doesn't want the children to work, but when their families are so poor they don't have much choice
5/9 This is Augustus - he gets up at 3am every other morning to go to work
6/9 He earns money to help support his family - here's his mum and his pet kitten
7/9 Augustus works with hundreds of other kids in this quarry which is near his village
8/9 They carry heavy rocks and then smash them into pieces which are used to build roads and make cement.
9/9 Francesca used to work there, but now Unicef have made sure that she can go to school.
