Wimbledon: Andy Murray beats Gimeno-Traver in four sets

Andy Murray got off to a winning start at Wimbledon, beating Daniel Gimeno-Traver in four sets.

The British number one didn't have it all his own way on centre court though, losing the first set 4-6.

But he soon took control of the match, smashing his way to victory by winning the last fifteen games in a row.

The British number one will now get ready to face Slovenian Blaz Kavcic or Germany's Tobias Kamke in the second round on Wednesday.

Defending champion Rafael Nadal is also through after beating American Michael Russell, 6-4 6-2 6-2.

And in the women's competition, five-time ladies champion Venus Williams beat Akgul Amanmuradova in straight sets, 6-3 6-1.
