Single review: Parade - Perfume

Release date

20 June 2011

The style

After releasing their first single in March... Emily, Sian, Jessica, Bianca and Lauren are certainly making their mark in the music world, with their trendy boho chic image and catchy R'n'B style pop songs.

Perfume is a song full of summer fun and parties on the beach. It definitely still has a girl power theme and seems to have more kick than their first single, Louder, which was much more girly!

It's a bit of a mix between Jessie J and Pixie Lott... a weird combination I hear you say, but we think this is something that'll send them to success!

Will you still be humming it next week?

If it doesn't grab you at first it will definitely grow on you in no time! You'll find yourself nodding to the base beat after only a few listens!

Will it make the charts?

Parade seem to be following the example of chart sensation Rihanna, who made her name with famous lyrics like 'umbrella, ella ella ella' and "please don't stop the music, music, music".

Will "my perfume, my perfume, my perfume" bring success to this new sassy girl band? There's a lot of tough competition out there all fighting for the top spot, but we think this will definitely be a hit!
