Abandoned ginger guinea pigs rescued and named!

Check out these copper-coloured cuties. They were among a group of 12 guinea pigs who were taken to an adoption centre in Oxfordshire to find a new home.

Seven of the guinea pigs were ginger, so staff at the Blue Cross centre named them after celebrity red-heads, including Spice Girl Geri Halliwell and Girls Aloud's Nicola Roberts.

We're not sure which is which, but this guinea pig looks quite feisty so we think it could be the one named after Bianca in EastEnders. But where's Rickaaaaaaaaay!

The ginger guineas are all sisters and staff at the centre said they love to huddle together for company.

And we're happy to report that their story has a happy ending... they've all been found new homes in pairs or groups.
