Comic Relief: celebs gearing up for 2011

The Wanted helping Comic Relief

Loads of celebrities have been getting involved in Comic Relief and helping to raise money for good causes.

On the big Friday night show the Wanted will be singing the official Red Nose Day song, and there'll be performances from Adele, JLS and Take That.

Comedians including Harry Hill and Michael McIntyre will be bringing the laughs and watch out for a special sketch from the cast of Doctor Who.

In 25 years of Comic Relief, £650 million has been raised for charity.

So far this year, there have been some record-breaking Red Nose moments.

Blue Peter's Helen has done a dare-devil tight-rope walk and Chris Moyles is attempting the longest radio show ever- 51 and a half hours!

A team of stars including Olly Murs trekked for 100km across the desert in northern Kenya, and raised more than £1 million.

Ant and Dec managed to gate-crash 10 different TV shows (including Newsround!) and popped up on 23 radio shows in just one day.

Those are just the celebs - across the UK thousands of you have been raising money too.

Red Nose Day kicks off at 7pm, Friday on BBC One.
