Manchester United had to settle for a goalless draw against Marseille in the last 16 of the Champions League.

United had their best chance in the south of France with a long shot by Scottish international Darren Fletcher, but he couldn't make it count.

Sir Alex Ferguson still thinks his team have the edge ahead of their second leg match at Old Trafford though.

On Tuesday, Chelsea beat FC Copenhagen 2-0 to put one foot in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The Blues had Nicolas Anelka to thank for both goals - he started up front with new boy Fernando Torres.

It means Chelsea are in a really strong position when they play the second leg in two weeks' time.
