Tinie Tempah was the star of the show at the 2011 Brit Awards - as he took home two awards.

The rapper won the prize for best British breakthrough act and best single for his hit 'Pass Out'.

Some of the biggest names in showbiz were at the 02 arena in London for a night that celebrates the best of British music.

But it wasn't just acts from the UK that won on the night - Justin Bieber and Rihanna both bagged awards.

But it was Tinie Tempah that will have come home the happiest - even though he was up for a massive four awards!

"I want to big up God and my family for sticking by me when times are hard." the Londoner said.

The Brits got off to a spectacular start as Take That took to the stage with a performance of their new single 'Kidz'.

The fab five then went on to collect the prize for best group.

And it only got better for those lucky enough to have a ticket for the show - with the likes of Rihanna and Plan B playing their recent hits.

As always there was loads of attention on the red carpet before the show - Cheryl Cole caught the eye in a sparkly outfit.

It was also a big night for some acts you might not of heard of.

Mumford and Sons and Laura Marling, who both play folk music, won prized little statues for their albums.

Justin Bieber won best breakthrough act to add to his growing collection, and then thanked his fans after an amazing year.
