New solar system stuns astronomers

Artist's impression of newly discovered solar system Kepler-11, which has a Sun-like star and six planets orbiting around it

A newly discovered solar system with six planets orbiting a star like our Sun has stunned astronomers.

It's surprising because the planets are close to each other and orbit really near to its sun.

The star has been named Kepler-11, after the NASA space telescope Kepler that spotted it - about 2,000 light years away!

Scientists reckon that the planets, all of them bigger than Earth, are probably too hot to support any life.
