The X Factor picked up the prize for most popular talent show at the National Television Awards.
It beat rival programmes Britain's Got Talent, Dancing on Ice and Strictly Come Dancing to grab the gong.
Judges Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole were joined on stage by 2010's winner Matt Cardle to collect the trophy.
But it was the presenters of the award that got the biggest shock... event organisers asked two young members of the audience to do the job!

But it was bad news for Doctor Who. The show has landed the Most Popular Drama prize each year since 2005 until it was beaten this year by Waterloo Road.
EastEnders was crowned top soap and also picked up awards for Most Popular Newcomer for Ricky Norwood, who plays Fatboy, and Outstanding Serial Drama Performance for Lacey Turner who plays Stacey Slater.
