Hubble Telescope makes stellar find

The Hubble Space Telescope has snapped what scientists reckon could be the oldest galaxy that's ever been seen.

It's thought the galaxy is more than 13 BILLION years old and existed around 480 million years after the Big Bang that formed the universe.

US space agency Nasa says it was a period in the early Universe when galaxy formation was going into "overdrive".

The findings haven't been confirmed yet, but scientists are confident.

Astronomer Professor Bouwens said: "It's very exciting to see this complicated physical process actually take place somewhere that no man has seen before".
