There were fireworks on and off the tennis court at the Open in Melbourne on Wednesday to celebrate Australia Day!
People around the country have been joining in the festivities. There were events and parties across the major cities and even a boat parade through Sydney Harbour.
Australia Day is a national holiday which marks the arrival of the first settlers to the country in 1788 and used to be called Foundation Day.
There was a big street parade in Melbourne and some rescue workers who have been helping people in the floods took part and got a massive cheer for their hard work.
The England cricket team gave the Australian side a day to remember as they beat the squad in the fourth one-day match. A not very welcome Australia Day present!
