A politician has suggested changing the rule which decides who in the Royal Family gets to be the king or queen.
At the moment, boys have the right to the throne over girls, whether or not they're older or younger.
The only way you can get to the crown if you're a girl is if you don't have any brothers.
So if Prince William and Kate Middleton have a baby daughter first and a son afterwards, the son would get to be king when he grows up - even though he's got a big sis.
This rule of deciding who becomes head of the country has been in the UK for almost 300 years.
Do you think it's fair? Do you think boys should come first?

"It's totally sexist! I mean, girls deserve decent decisions as much as boys. Really, there's not a big difference between us except that boys can be quite cheeky! Anyway, if it's a girl first, she certainly deserves the throne, after all she came first right?!"

"I feel that equality must be established to make the country non-sexist!"

"I don't think that boys should come first - women's rights is still a huge issue and I think that abolishing this outdated law will be a giant leap in the right direction. Women have been proved to be just as intelligent than men, making them more than capable to rule the throne. Most of Britain's greatest monarchs have been women anyway!"

"If the princess is older than the prince then she should get the crown first!!!"
Bethany, 10, Birmingham, England
"Of course the rules should be changed! It's SO unfair! Having a female figure as the head of the royal family because of the rules changing would be great! Just because the rules are old doesn't mean they should stay the same. Change the old rules and stop being sexist!"
Harriet, 13, Northumberland, England
"I don't think it's right for the boy to be king if they have an older sister. Girls and boys should be treated as equals!"
Elizabeth, 10, London, England
"I think that times have moved on and men are no longer deemed as 'more powerful' than women and to suggest such a thing would be wrong. So what is the difference here? If a girl is the oldest child then she should become queen! She will be just as good a ruler as a boy would be."

"I think the oldest child should be the first for the throne then it should go down in age order, but I think they should only rule for a certain amount of years before passing it on."
