Kenny Dalglish takes over from Roy Hodgson at Liverpool

Kenny Dalglish watches Liverpool play Manchester United

Kenny Dalglish disappointed Liverpool fans in his first outing as the Reds' club manager for nearly 20 years.

Liverpool lost their FA Cup third round match 1-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

It's not the first time Dalglish has been the boss at Anfield. In the past, he led the Reds to three league titles before resigning in 1991.

Now he's back, he's taken over from Roy Hodgson, and will be in charge until the end of the season.

But his first outing as manager didn't go to plan.

Ryan Giggs scored from the penalty spot two minutes in. And Steven Gerrard was sent off for a lunge on Michael Carrick after 32 minutes.
