Strictly star Ann Widdecombe to dance for Dartmoor cows

Ann Widdecombe and dance partner Anton du Beke are voted off Strictly Come Dancing

Booted Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ann Widdecombe has vowed to keep on dancing - but only for the cows of Dartmoor in Devon!

The former politician revealed she'd have a sneaky dance on the moors in her hiking boots when no-one was watching.

She said: "Before the startled eyes of roaming cattle, I shall dance around the damp, uneven ground, imagining myself in a glittering gown."

Ann and partner Anton du Beke were voted off on Sunday after 10 weeks.

Ann will return for the Strictly live tour next year, where she'll dance with acid-tongued judge Craig Revel-Horwood.

She wasn't keen to do the tour at first but revealed that the offer of dancing with Craig was "too funny to refuse".

She added there would be no more performances after that, even though she's constantly asked if she will carry on dancing.

The 63-year-old star's entertaining routines have included being dragged along the floor and being suspended in the air, but she said she drew the line at one thing: wearing a wig!

She explained: "It was some long horrible wig that Anton wanted me to come on and shake - and it just looked ghastly."

Ann might be remembered as Strictly's comedy act, but she didn't mind: "Why would I mind? I was having fun... I've had the time of my life."
