Animals at risk in cold weather

Animals keeping warm in the snow

As the UK shivers in the big freeze, animal charities are urging people to take care of their pets.

The RSPCA says the cold snap will affect all pets, from guinea pigs to horses.

They want people to do everything they can to make sure their pets are OK - including making sure they have drinking water that isn't frozen.

They say simple things, like giving pets extra bedding could make a big difference.
