Gorilla success for London Zoo

Mother Mjukuu with her baby gorilla at London Zoo

Back in October we reported the birth of the first male gorilla at London Zoo in 20 years.

Zoo keepers have been holding their breath to see if gorilla mum Mjukuu would take to motherhood, as sometimes animals reject their young.

But they had nothing to worry about - she cleans and inspects her baby all day, and even gives him lots of cuddles.

"She is a protective mum" said one of the London Zoo keepers.

Now all they have to do is a think of a name!
