Was Cheryl Cole right to not vote on The X Factor?

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole

Cheryl Cole has angered some X Factor fans after she refused to vote to send an act home on Sunday's results show.

The judge found two of her acts, Katie Waissel and Treyc Cohen, in the sing-off.

When asked to cast her vote by host Dermot O'Leary, she said: "I'm not sending either of them home, Dermot. I'm refusing point blank."

In the end, it was decided on a majority vote, with Louis and Simon voting to send home Treyc.

So do you think Cheryl was right in refusing to vote between Katie and Treyc? Or do you reckon it's part of the judge's job to make these tough decisions?

"She should have voted because she gets paid to! I wonder if she enjoyed her pie face?!"

Matt, 6, Venice, Italy

"I think Cheryl was right to not vote. If I were in that position I would do the same."

Julie, 11, Stockport, England

"I think that she was right for not voting. If two of a judge's acts are in the bottom two, they should not vote because it is not fair."

Keke, 10, Hertfordshire, England

"Yes I think she was right!!"

Tanya, 9, London, England

"It must have been hard for Cheryl but she signed up for the job and voting is part of it."

Zara, 10, Gloucestershire, England

"I think Cheryl was right not to vote. If a judge's acts are both in the bottom two they should be asked last. It was a really hard decision for her because they are both really talented."

Ella, 11, Sussex, England

"I think Cheryl was right not to vote because if she did she would have hurt someone's feelings. When Simon was put in the same situation he wasn't made to vote."

Mollie, 10, Glasgow, Scotland

"Treyc should have been kept in the competition because she was the better singer. Cheryl should have voted instead of copping out."

Emma, 13, Bristol, England

"It is her job to vote but she is way too nice to choose between two of her acts. I met her once, she was so nice!"

Jalisa, 14, Kent, England

"Cheryl did the right thing because if she had voted it would have made one of her acts feel sad. Well done Cheryl, I love her new song by the way!"

Georgia, 13, Sussex, England

"I think she should have made a decision because her job is to be a judge, even if it meant sending one of her own category home."

Scarlet, 11, London, England

"Love you Cheryl! I would have done exactly the same!"

Ffion, 12, Caerphilly, Wales

"I think it does matter that she votes because it's her job, but she had two of her girls to choose from so it must have been hard for her!"

Robyn, 11, England

"I don't think she should have voted because it was unfair to have to choose between her acts. If I was in her position I would have refused because I couldn't bear to upset someone so much."

Sophie, 12, Sussex, England

"I think Cheryl was right not to vote. I would have been nervous and would feel guilty sending someone home when they'd come so far."

Mia, 11, London, England

"I think she should have voted- it's the rules, you can't go chopping and changing them every week!"

Catrin, 12, UK

"It was a hard decision to make when both girls were in the same category. People shouldn't judge Cheryl, she's entitled to her own opinion."

Amelia, 11, Birmingham, England

"I think Cheryl made the right choice. When two of Simon's acts were in the bottom two they allowed him to make the final choice, but for Cheryl's group they called her name second. People should just leave her alone, it wasn't her fault, it was the bosses."

Emmanuel, 14, London, England

"Yes Cheryl was right, they were both her acts so how could she have made the choice? If it was your decision what would you do?!"

Aswad, 10, Huddersfield, England

"She should have voted."

Iqra, 9, London, England

"She should have voted, it's her job and she shouldn't get paid if she doesn't do it."

Jessica, 10, Kent, England

"She was right not to vote because she was their mentor."

Nathaniel, 9, Aberdeen, Scotland

"Cheryl Cole signed up for the job so she should judge. It doesn't matter how hard it is, it's in her job description! If she had judged then Treyc might not have been sent home, and she was better than Katie and we all know that!"

India-Mae, 13, England

"She was wrong not to vote because all the other judges do when it's their acts in the bottom, so why shouldn't she?"

Chloe, 10, England

"If I was in her shoes I wouldn't have been able to choose, it would be like choosing between your two best friends."

Bethany, 14, Cornwall, England

"I think it was perfectly reasonable to refuse to vote because they were both very strong competitors."

Beth, 10, Oldham, England

"I think it wouldn't have been fair if she'd had to vote."

Samar, 12, London, England

"She said she was going to take it to deadlock but she didn't. Simon did it so why couldn't she?"

Eleanor, 9, Bolton, England

"As a judge Cheryl had to undertake the responsibility of voting. Therefore she shouldn't be allowed to judge anymore!"

Niamh, 10, Stockport, England

"I think that Cheryl should have voted, but you can imagine how she must have felt in that position. If she voted one of her acts out she would have got lots of stick for it."

Ellie, 10, Bristol, England

"She should have taken it to deadlock. Not saying anything was unfair- it isn't part of the job description to make choices like that."

Fiona, 14, Surrey, England

"I think she should have waited for Louis and Danni to vote and then she could have taken it to deadlock!"

Sophia, 12, Wolverhampton, England

"I think Cheryl Cole was right because they were both her girls."

Thabia, 9, London, England

"Cheryl still had three acts left, so why would losing one be so bad? She should have voted!"

Martha, 11, Surrey, England

"Cheryl should have sent Katie home because she has been in the bottom two the most."

Michael, 12, Liverpool, England

"Cheryl had the right not to pick between them. She should not have picked one of her girls."

Doriloane, 9, Leeds, England

"She should have voted, what's the point in her being a judge if she can't vote?"

Katie, 13, Yorkshire, England

"Yes, because it's up to Cheryl if she wants to vote or not."

Abbey, 11, Staffordshire, England

"I think it was right for Cheryl not to vote."

Poppy, 11, York, England

"I think that she was right not to vote because it would have been unfair."

Katie-Jane, 12, Surrey, England

"She should have voted."

Tom, 9, Yorkshire, England

"It was not right for Dermot O'Leary to come to Cheryl second. Cheryl should have voted because it is her job, but I understand why she didn't."

Katie, 11, Hampshire, England

"I think Cheryl Cole was perfectly entitled not to vote. As a judge she decided not to, and she should be respected for what she did. I don't think that she should be sacked. She is obviously doing a good job as a mentor because Treyc was her first act to leave the competition."

Milly, 11, Exeter, England

"I know it must have been hard for Cheryl, but she is getting paid all this money and not even doing her job properly! What if another two of her acts are in the bottom two again? She needs to choose. She should pretend she doesn't know either of them and judge them on their performance. This is just my opinion, I still like Cheryl."

Savannah, 12, Surrey, England

"I thought she was right not to vote. They were both her acts so it would've been unfair. Good on you Cheryl!"

Henna, 11, Newcastle, England

"She had the right to not vote. She's too much of a nice person to take sides with one of her acts and leave one of them out."

Jess, 12, Plymouth, England

"I think Cheryl is entitled to her own opinions. I think she did what she felt was best for herself."

Alice, 10, Oxfordshire, England

"The acts are so good, there's no wonder she couldn't choose!"

Annie, 10, Rugby, England

"I think Cheryl should have got sacked because she is a judge and it's her job to vote!"

Jamaal, 10, Yorkshire, England

"I think Cheryl made the right decision in not voting. If I had been in the same situation I would have done the same thing. It's like having to choose between your mum and your dad!"

Kitty, 11, Bournemouth, England

"I think it's OK because both acts were hers and Simon didn't have to vote when he was put in the same situation a while ago."

Lucy, 10, Newcastle, England

"I think Cheryl was right to not vote because it's hard to decide when both singers are in your category!"

Munisah, 9, Edinburgh, Scotland

"I think she was wrong to not vote because it's unfair on the other contestants. It seems that all the other judges can do it, so why can't she? She needs to get her act together and give a decision!"

Joe, 12, Hertfordshire, England

"I think she could have taken it to deadlock. It's part of her job to vote!"

Tiff, 14, Hampshire, England

"I think it was wrong of Cheryl Cole to not vote. I think she should have been MADE to vote."

Niamh, 11, Scotland

"I think Cheryl was right to not vote. If I had been in Cheryl's shoes on Sunday, then it would have been very tough."

Laura, 12, Nottingham, England

"I don't think anybody should judge Cheryl on what she chooses to do. It's her choice."

Leyla, 9, Kent, England

"Yes. I totally agree! No one would have been able to do that. Cheryl was right not to vote because it would have created so much publicity and also a bad image for her."

Amy, 14, Bournemouth, England

"No. I don't think Cheryl was right in refusing to vote. It's her job to do it and it's a show that has rules. Rules need to be followed."

Adam, 12, Middlesbrough, England

"I think she should vote for her own acts because then she can give them an honest opinion. They might then feel that she's being 100% honest with them."

Alexandria, 10, London, England

"I think she did the right thing because they were both in her group and I would've done the same."

Louise, 13, Somerset, England

"I think it's despicable that she didn't vote. It's what she gets paid for after all! What's the point in giving someone lots of money every week for just sitting on a panel and refusing to vote?"

Olivia, 14, England

"I don't blame Cheryl for not voting. I really feel for her."

Charlotte, 11, Cambridgeshire, England

"I think Cheryl was right to not vote. They were both her acts. I think Dermot should have gone back to her afterwards because then it would have been deadlock. Cheryl was probably quite angry one of her acts was going home."

Amy, 12, Somerset, England

"Cheryl Cole is a COWARD! She can't face the fact that she has to send one of her acts home!"

Roberta, 11, Buckinghamshire, England

"I think Cheryl did the right thing not voting because how would you feel if it were you in the same situation?"

Georgia, 11, Sussex, England

"I think Cheryl should have voted because it wasn't fair on Treyc as she was so good and Katie wasn't!"

Alison, 13, Hertfordshire, England

"I thought she was right not to vote. Good on you, Cheryl!"

Henna, 11, Newcastle, England

Cath, 11, Surrey, England

"Cheryl COULD have voted and SHOULD have voted. Everyone had to do it, so why couldn't she?"

Jeev, 11, Kent, England

"I think that Cheryl Cole had the right not to vote, because both of her contestants were in the same category and it would have been very awkward!"

Omar, 12, London, England

"I think it was good she didn't vote because Cheryl is a sensible and loveable person and they shouldn't put her under pressure like that."

Brogan-Isobel, 10, Doncaster, England

"I think that she was right because they were her girls and it would have been a bit inconsiderate."

Luise, 8, London, England

"I think she was right not to vote!"

Claire, 10, Liverpool, England

"Cheryl was right not to vote. Katie and Treyc are fantastic singers, and neither should be sent home."

Ashley, 11, Bristol, England

"I think Cheryl should have voted. If she did, one of the other judges could have taken it to deadlock."

Riley, 12, London, England

"Cheryl couldn't really vote one of her own acts off! That would be mean!"

Ella, 10, Surrey, England

"If I was in Cheryl's position, I would refuse to vote as well as it's unfair on the contestants."

Lauren, 11, Shropshire, England

"I think it was wrong of Cheryl not to vote, because although they were both in her group, she would still have one of them left! It's only a competition anyway!"

Evangeline, 12, Kent, England

"I think Cheryl should have voted because Simon had to vote when he was in the same situation. I think it's unfair!"

Cheryl, 13, London, England

"Obviously it was a very hard decision to make. How do you think she would have felt? To be honest, I think she made the right decision."

Phoebe, 11, Essex, England

"I think Cheryl was right because I wouldn't have voted either. Saying that, I didn't want Treyc to go home!"

Pearce, 10, Stockport, England

"If she didn't want to make one of her acts feel bad, then that's TOUGH. It's the rules of the show and she can't just change it like that. She's not the boss!"

Maria, 13. Hertfordshire, England

"She should have voted because it's a part of her job."

Ella, 12, Swansea, Wales

"I think she did the wrong thing. She could have voted for Katie and then it would have gone to deadlock!"

"I think Cheryl was right not to vote because she loves her girls. GO CHERYL!"

Claire. 10, Essex, England

"I think what Cheryl Cole did was wrong."

Erin, 7, Aberdeen, Scotland

"Yes. She shouldn't vote. It's not fair. They are both in her category, so why should she make one feel upset. I understand what Cheryl is going through."

Amie, 11, Kent, England

I think Cheryl should have voted because she is a judge and her emotions shouldn't get in the way of her job.

Meenal, 10, London, England

"I think it was OK for Cheryl to not vote. It's her decision."

Eleanor, 12, Essex, England

"I think she should have voted. It's not fair that Treyc went home because she's such a great singer and Katie was meant to be sent home ages ago because she isn't that good. Treyc is much better and she should still be in X Factor."

Emily, 12, London, England

"Yes! When both of Simon's acts were up, he didn't have to vote. Therefore I don't think that Cheryl should have voted!"

Shyan, 10, London, England

"She just didn't want to send one of her girls home. It was really selfish of her."

Rachel, 11, London, England

"I think Cheryl was right not to vote because it's not fair on her that she had to pick between her own acts."

Olivia, 12, Northampton, England

"I think she was right because they were both goods singers and you would feel guilty afterwards."

Elizabeth, 10, Shropshire, England

"She shouldn't have to vote because it's her choice and if everyone is going to judge her for that, then I think you should be ashamed!"

Shanae, 10, Leicestershire, England

"I think that Cheryl should have voted because everyone's been there before and it's not like Katie and Treyc were her children."

Jacob, 11, Bristol, England

"She was right for not voting. They were both great singers and were both terrible on the night."

Rebecca, 11, Stoke-on-Trent

"Why should Cheryl have to vote if Simon didn't want to do it when he was in the same situation! Go Cheryl!"

Amy, 11, Watford, England

"I understand why Cheryl didn't vote. They were two of her acts who she had strong connections with. Therefore she was well within her rights to not vote."

Jayme, 11, Bristol, England

"I think Cheryl should have voted because it's unfair otherwise."

Emma, 9, Scotland

"She had the right to not vote. She's too much of a nice judge to let others go!"

Jess, 12, Plymouth, England

"I think it was right for Cheryl not to vote because they were both hers in the bottom two."

Rebecca, 14, Hertfordshire, England

"I think that she was right not to vote. All the acts were good and it was nice that she didn't want to hurt anybody's feelings."

Lucie, 13, England

"I think she should have voted because every vote counts and it's not fair on the other people and fans."

Chazz, 12, London, England

"I think she should have been made to vote but I don't know if it would have been easy."

Emma, 12, England

"I think she did the right thing. Both of the acts deserved to be in and it was not fair on Cheryl to choose between them."

Saskia, 13, Wiltshire, England

I think Cheryl was right to not vote. She is my idol!"

Mia, 9, Hampshire, England

"I think Cheryl Cole was right not to vote because they were her own girls and it must have been really hard for her."

Freya, 12, Cheshire, England

"Cheryl was right all the way!"

Amy, 9, Herefordshire, England

"I think Cheryl was right not to vote, they are both good, and they are both in her category. It would have been WAAAY too hard for her."

Molly, 12, London, England

"I think that Cheryl is nice but she can be a wee bit rude sometimes!!"

Hollie, 7, Ayrshire, Scotland

"She was right because otherwise it would not have been fair on either of them."

Mildred, 10, East Midlands, England

"Cheryl was right not to vote - they were both in her category and it wasn't fair on her to choose. I think she made the right decision to let the other judges decide for her."

Chloe, 11, Peterborough, England

"It was hard for her to pick one of her own singers and she has been through a lot, so I think she should keep her job."

Joe, 14, Newcastle, England

"Of course she should have voted. Rules are rules and they are supposed to be kept! Katie was awful in the sing off, whilst Treyc was brilliant."

Zara, 13, London, England

"I think she should have voted because she is a judge, so she should take the responsibility of one!"

Tarini, 10, Mumbai, England

"Right, put yourself in her position: show NO favouritism, think only of her love for the two girls. Looking into their eyes - could you choose between two members of your family? I hope what I have said helps you understand that Cheryl COULD NOT choose! They, to her, are her family!"

Ayesha, 11, Staffordshire, England

"She should have voted at the end to take it to deadlock."

Eoghan, 12, Co. Down, N. Ireland

"Cheryl's too much of a wimp! She should have sent Treyc home. Katie rules!"

Izzy, 11, London, England

"I think Cheryl should have voted, but it is entirely up to her if she wants to vote or not."

Laura, 11, Reading, England

"It was NOT fair because Katie has been in the bottom two several times and it was only Treyc's second time."

Sophie, 12, Huddersfield, England

"I think she should have to vote - it's a competition so she has to make a decision! It's not fair, she shouldn't be on the show if she can't decide who is a better singer."

Kayleigh, 14, Yorkshire, England

"I thought it was so out of order. I'm not watching the show anymore."

Niamh, 10, Belfast, N. Ireland

"I don't think she should have voted. However, Treyc was the better singer on the night. It was Cheryl's choice. She shouldn't have to be made to choose between HER acts."

Heidi, 11, London, England

"Cheryl did what she felt was right to do."

Sai, 11, London, England

"It's only a telly show, so what's the big deal?"

Katie, 13, Kent, England

"Cheryl was right not to vote because it was both of her girls and it was difficult for her to choose."

Arianit, 10, London, England

"Cheryl should not have to vote. All she was doing was being nice and not wanting to hurt anybody's feelings!"

Neve, 12, Berkshire, England

"I think Cheryl should be able to do as she wishes. I personally preferred Treyc, but if I was Cheryl I wouldn't vote any of my acts out! Go Cheryl!"

Katie, 10, Plymouth, England

"Any judge with two acts in the sing-off should vote last, so they can put it into deadlock if they want. Treyc is much better than Katie anyway, so she'll get something after the show!"

Sam, 9, Hull, England

"I think that it was wrong for Cheryl to refuse to vote. It is her job to make the hard decisions."

Laura, 13, London, England

"I think Cheryl should have voted for Katie so it went to deadlock. This was Katie's third time in the bottom two, so clearly the public do not like her! And Treyc was a much better singer and performer all round anyway!"

Shannon, 14, Kent, England

"They were both good acts, so I think she was right to do what she did!"

Jade, 10, Livingston, Scotland

"No. She's a judge. Judges are supposed to judge and she should have sent Treyc home."

Georgia, 11, London, England

"It's so unfair for Cheryl because she couldn't possibly vote! I think it's right what she did!"

Dounia, 10, London, England

"I think she should have to vote. It's a competition and she has to make a decision. It's not fair. She shouldn't be on the show if she can't decide who is a better singer."

Kayleigh, 14, Yorkshire, England

"I don't think that she should have to vote. But I think it should have gone to deadlock!"

Sophia, 13, London, England

"I think she should vote. All judges should vote, otherwise what's the point of her being there."

Daisy, 9, Buckinghamshire, England

"Cheryl was completely out of order in refusing to vote as voting is part of her job. She also said she would make it deadlock and in the end she didn't. It should be the viewers who choose the winner, not the judges!"

Sharon, 11, Luton, England

"I think she was right not to vote. But I think they should have let her vote last, so she could take it to deadlock."

Rachel, 11, Essex, England

"I thought it was quite stubborn of Cheryl to not choose. She's still lucky to have some of her acts and it's part of being a judge."

Mary, 13, Northamptonshire, England

"Judges shouldn't have to vote if it's both their acts in the bottom two!"

Rebecca, 11, Cambridge, England

"I think Cheryl should have voted, even though both of her acts were in the bottom two. She should have still voted because she's a judge and that's her job!"

Natalie, 11, Nottingham, England

"I think Cheryl should have voted! She's a judge!"

Ciara, 9, London, England

"I was surprised when they asked her and that's probably why she didn't choose to vote, since it wasn't fair! Dermot should have asked the other three first!"

Euan, 14, Aberdeen, Scotland

"I don't see why Dermot went to Cheryl second because when Simon had two acts in the bottom two, he came to him last. Cheryl was right not to vote!"

Rachel, 11, Lancashire, England

"Cheryl shouldn't have had to vote as it would not have been fair on the two girls."

Ellie, 10, Wigan, England

"She should have asked to go last and sent Katie home. Then it would've gone to deadlock and it would have been fair!"

Emily, 10, Carlisle, England

"Absolutely. They are both in her category and it would have been mean for their mentor to pick one and not the other. Dermot should have picked Cheryl last, because that's what he did with Simon."

Ella, 12, London, England

"I think it was wrong Cheryl Cole didn't vote. Treyc was the better singer and Katie is always in the bottom two. Plus Cheryl said she'd take it to deadlock."

Anisha, 11, Bristol, England

"No it wasn't. Just because they were both her girls, it doesn't mean she shouldn't vote! Either way, one of them would've gone out. It's another silly, immature and childish act preformed by Cheryl!"

Anna, 11, England

"I think she was right not to vote because it was between her two girls and would have been a really hard decision to make."

Shannon, 12, Buckinghamshire, England

"I think that Cheryl did the right thing because she didn't favour any of her acts, and a decision like that is hard to make."

Alex, 14, Manchester, England

"Cheryl was perfectly right not to vote. If I was her I would refuse to as well."

Caroline, 10, Tyneside, England

"Cheryl WAS my favourite judge but after the other night, she is officially NOT!"

Emily, 8, Liverpool, England

"I don't think Cheryl should have to vote because I would feel the same way as her."

Elizabeth, 10, Sheffield, England

"I think she should have decided which one was the better singer, apologise to the other girl and then it would all be over and done with."

Aine, 9, Bolton, England

"Cheryl was right not to vote as it wouldn't have been fair to vote for one of her own acts."

Claire, 12, Belfast, N. Ireland

"She was right not to make a vote because it must be hard for her when she works so closely with both girls."

Claire, 12, Surrey, England

"Yes! She was right not to vote. If she'd voted and the act she sent home stayed in, then that would've been a bit awkward."

Lauren, 13, Wales

"I knew it was coming when Dermot asked Simon first. I think Cheryl was in a really difficult position and I don't think it was fair that she had to vote."

Maisie, 12, Scotland

"I think that Cheryl was right not to vote. How would she be able to choose between the two?"

Amy, 10, Manchester, England

"Obviously she made the right decision in not voting. It's like choosing between your own children!"

Faduma, 11, London, England

"Cheryl should not have voted because she would've been saying that she liked one of them better than the other. Simon didn't have to vote and Cheryl was faced with an even more difficult decision because they are both strong contenders."

Isy, 10, Hampshire, England

"I think that Cheryl SHOULD have voted who she thought was best and not refused. If she doesn't want to do these sort of things, then she shouldn't be part of The X Factor."

Aisha, 12, Hertfordshire, England

"I think she had the right to say that she isn't sending any of them home, though my mum says the opposite."

Eden, 10, Swindon, England

"Yes, I think she was right not to vote as it would have made an unfair impression of her as a person."

Alice, 8, Dublin, Ireland

"I think it was the right decision because both acts were good and she did not want to favour either of them."

Patrick, 11, Surrey, England

"I truly think it was right because they were both in her group and were both good singers!"

Tia, 9, Derby, England

"I don't think she needed to vote. I understand that if Cheryl would have voted for one person, and the other person got through, it would have been really awkward."

Lola, 12, London, England

"Cheryl had the right to not vote."

John, 11, Kent, England

"Cheryl specifically said that she would take it to deadlock. The problem was that the programme was too rushed. If they had given a bit more time, Cheryl would have made a decision."

Imaan, 10, London, England

"I don't think that she should have to vote. But I think it should have gone to deadlock!"

Sophia, 13, London, England

"I think she should have voted because it was a bit unfair to leave the decision to the other judges. If she wants to be a judge, she should judge!"

Laura, 11, Scotland

"I think that Cheryl made the right choice, as they were both in her category. But Katie has been in the bottom two loads of times and I think that she should have left. Sorry, Katie!"

Samiya, 12, London, England

"I don't mind because it was her choice."

Becky, 10, Aberdeenshire, Scotland

"I am glad Cheryl didn't vote because I don't think it was fair since the acts were both hers!"

Becki, 10, Hertfordshire, England

"I think Cheryl was right to not vote."

Mia, 11, Kent, England

"I think that Cheryl should have voted. Simon only got away with it because Diva Fever already had three no's, so it's not fair."

Hannah, 11, Berkshire, England

"I think Cheryl was right to not vote."

Chloe, 11, Lancashire, England

"I think Cheryl was right!"

Rosy, 11, Derbyshire, England

"Cheryl should have taken it to deadlock and then Katie might have gone out because Treyc was fantastic."

Katie, 9, Ayrshire, Scotland

"I think Cheryl should have voted. Katie never bothered and swore when she forgot the words. It was a sing-off and Cheryl was wrong to not vote in my opinion."

Madeleine, 10, Yorkshire, England

"I think that Cheryl Cole was right to not vote because they were both in her group, it was really hard for her!"

Banita, 11, West Midlands, England

"I think it's fine because they were her girls!"

Abigail, 10, Glasgow, Scotland

"She was right not to vote. They were both her acts! Katie is way better than Treyc anyway."

Melissa, 13, London, England

"I do love Cheryl Cole but I think she was wrong to not vote."

Maggie, 10, Buckinghamshire, England

"Leave her alone! She has done nothing wrong and I would hate to be in her position."

Neve, 11, Manchester, England

"Cheryl should have sent Katie home because she has been in the bottom two three times now and Treyc was a better singer!"

Ruby, 9, Bristol, England

"Treyc is better than Katie. Katie should have gone home."

Maisie, 7, Derbyshire, England

"I think she was right not to vote because they were both in her category. Personally, I think Katie is way better than Treyc Cohen."

Dylan, 10, London, England

"She shouldn't have to vote! It was wrong she had two of her own girls in the bottom two."

Lukiey, 14, Portsmouth, England

"I think Cheryl should have voted because that's part of being a judge!"

Eve, 11, Norfolk, England

"I think she was right not to vote because Katie Waissel and Treyc Cohen are both in her group and it wouldn't be fair."

Megan, 10, Belfast, N. Ireland

"If Cheryl doesn't want to vote, she doesn't have to. It must be very hard to choose between two of your acts because they are probably friends now and Cheryl gets on well with both of them."

Charlotte, 14, London, England

"I was very disappointed because the EXACT words from Cheryl were, "I will not vote yet, but come back to me and I will put it to deadlock!" I don't think it was right for Treyc to go out!"

Rebecca, 12, Lancashire, England

"I think Cheryl was well within her rights not to vote, as it was both her acts in the bottom two. There should be a rule that if one judge has both acts in the bottom two, then they shouldn't be under any pressure to vote."

Eve, 12, Cheshire, England

"It was good of Cheryl not to vote because she has been working hard for all her acts."

Shreya, 11, Surrey, England

"She didn't do anything wrong because she had two people in her category. She did the RIGHT thing!"

Tahlia, 9, London, England

"I think that Cheryl was wrong. She's a judge and she should therefore have to make the choice. However, I do understand what her problem was."

Martha, 12, London, England

"I think she did the right thing. She would've been under pressure and that would've been unfair."

Caoimhe, 13, Ireland

"I am Cheryl's BIGGEST EVER fan and I don't think she should have voted. However, Treyc was the better singer on the night. It was Cheryl's choice. She shouldn't have to be made to choose between HER acts."

Sofia, 12, Bournemouth, England

"Yes, she was right not to vote. Simon didn't have to vote between HIS two acts in the bottom two, so why can't Cheryl? It wouldn't have been fair to make her vote if she REALLY didn't want to."

Ella, 10, Coventry, England

"She should have not voted because they were both girls that she had."

Olivia, 10, Biggin Hill, England

"I think Cheryl didn't do anything bad, she didn't want to vote because both girls were in her group. It is part of a judge's job, but you cannot force someone. Personally i think Treyc is much better then Katie."

Alex, 13, London, England

"She should have voted, it makes great TV."

Ben, Wycombe, England

"I think she should have voted."

Hussnain, 14, Birmingham, England

"No, Cheryl should have picked the best singer. Just because they are in her category doesn't mean she can't vote them out. Treyc is better than Katie by far."

Amina, 12, Leeds

"Simon did it why can't she?"

Chantal, 12, Essex

"I think Cheryl was right not to vote, because they were both her acts, and it would be mean for their mentor to vote one and not the other!"

Aoife, 11, Dublin
