The calf was born in the early hours of the morning and though she might look little compared to her mum, Pak Boon, she weighed 120kg... which is more than an human adult!

Her birth is exactly four years after her herd of elephants arrived at the zoo from their home of Thailand in Asia.

She's the fifth calf born to the Australian Conservation Management Plan who are caring for these endangered elephants.

The little elephant hasn't got a name yet but it's expected she'll be given a Thai name to reflect her family's origin.
