Rare birds taught to migrate by humans flying in plane!

Bird experts helping to teach the northern bald ibis to migrate

A team of bird conservationists has been teaching a flock of rare birds how to migrate - by FLYING WITH THEM in a plane!

The fourteen northern bald ibises were born in a zoo so they don't know how to travel to warmer countries in the winter - something they have to learn if they're to survive in the wild.

So the birds' foster parents have been guiding them from Germany to Italy by leading the way in a tiny aircraft.

It's hoped that creative ideas like this will help more animals to steer clear of the endangered list.
